Maison Lorgeril “O de Rose” – Provence France 2019
Maison Lorgeril, a family enterprise, was founded in 1620 in the South of France, between the Rhone Valley and the Pyrenees. Since 1987, Nicolas de Lorgeril, from a tenth generation family of winemakers, and his wife Miren de Saint Chamas, have lead the maison.
The vineyards are rooted in the foothills of the Massif Central and plateauing over breathtaking views of the nearing Pyrenees and waters of the Mediterranean Sea.
It offers a gorgeous mélange of upfront citrus, bright spring flowers, rhubarb and ripe strawberry aromas that are framed by hints of crisp mouth watering saline notes, finishing snappy and fresh.
This is a wine made for afternoon catch ups where the problems of the world are solved, light pasta or rice dishes or lightly cooked shellfish with a good squeeze of lemon.
